I love romances with twists and turns, and Become Wilde was all about unexpected plot sequences. Ian and Alexandra's love story is truly one of a kind.

I am a huge Grey's Anatomy fan, so medical dramas (even if the story isn't completely set in a hospital) have always been a comforting escape for me. Become Wilde was no different. The story follows Alexandra's life as she returns to Botswana as a pediatric doctor, and rekindles a romantic relationship with Ian, a philanthropist. I had no idea that this book is a sequel. Even though I haven't read the first book, I didn't struggle while connecting to the story at all. Second-chance romances have been my go-to genre for the last couple of months anyway!

Relationships are tough, sometimes life gets in the way of love - this book portrayed this sentiment perfectly. Alex and Ian faced multiple conflicts while trying to maintain a relationship and (very, very) busy jobs together, but I loved seeing how they supported each other without hesitation. The love they share has redefined the term "power couple" for me. Lexian's (yes, I gave them a nickname because they're iconic) conversations were like music to my soul. The banter and thoughtful moments, along with the uncertainty of where their relationship was heading towards - made reading Become Wilde such a... WILD RIDE.

Like the blurb says, this book is not all about rainbows and butterflies. There were chapters that made me extremely sad, but also made me appreciate the people I love even more. Alex's grief is one of the pivotal themes of the book, and the author fleshed out that part of the story in such a heart-touching manner.

If you are looking for a romance that will make you feel all kinds of emotions, I highly recommend picking Becoming Wilde! I enjoyed this book with my whole heart. Can't recommend it enough!
