Field of Night

Loved it! 😍

A fascinating story with interesting characters set in a unique world!

"They’ll know your name. You are one of the chosen few, a human truly worthy of ascending to the universe’s biggest stage. Con’t waste this priceless opportunity. You’d live to regret it."

First of all, can we talk about this quote? Amazing, author.

Field of Night is the first in a very, very interesting series. I've always loved science fiction and reading stories created from scientifically evidence and phenomenas in different time periods, and this book did not disappoint.

Oddly enough, something I really liked was the characters' names—not just their birth names but the names they were given. The author was really creative in naming things and people, which I enjoyed seeing. It brought flavour to the book that I hadn't seen in fiction for a while now (it's been a long time since I've read any story in science fiction, so this book was refreshing to see).

Along with that, I loved the tense and perspective it was set in, but that's just a biased opinion of mine. The characters were really fleshed out, the dialogue sounded natural, and the story itself held a lot of suspense that kept me on my toes the entire time.

I would definitely recommend this book to other sci-fi lovers I know.

About the author

I'm an aspiring author from the D.C. area. The chance to create my own worlds is pretty much a dream come true. I also enjoy traveling, cooking and playing tennis, usually with my husband (and cat, who politely refrains from the aforementioned activities). view profile
