Loved it! 😍

Who knew a book about a wedding and a funeral would be so intriguing and fun?

This book was such a cute story, honestly. Even with the whole funeral taking place at the same time as the wedding that was supposed to be the main part of the story was interesting. Yes, funerals are usually not something to laugh at, and I wasn’t laughing at the actual death of this character at all – even though it took place off screen – but more that somehow the venue just said "forget the wedding’s previous arrangements" and booked the funeral for that same day and time.

It was just…. really interesting, and I would have been really confused about it on either side – the funeral side or the wedding side. Also, I don’t know if anyone realized this but I saw that the author actually lost her son to childhood cancer before she self-published her novel and that just honestly broke my heart. It may not have anything specific to do with her novel but it really just brought this book into a different light in my eyes.

All the different characters that were involved in this novel just had a lot of heart and character – yes I used that word, sue me – and it wasn’t hard to like most, if not all of them. It just made the dealings that they had to go through that much more appealing and made you want things to work out for them as much as possible. Sure, things may have had to have a little drama in them, but I also think that the drama involved in this one wasn’t too over the top or anything that made it super unbelievable. It was just a pretty great book that helped me get some comedy in my life for a bit.
