What are the benefits of taking part in the YEA Program?<\/b><\/p>\n
You get an insight into the work of the United Nations and other NGOs. You get to understand the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through diverse topics and practical methods. This experience is shared with other motivated young people, giving you an opportunity to connect with other young people with similar interests. The certificate officiated by UNESCO of \u201cYouth Education Ambassador\u201d can also be of great advantage when applying for universities, internships or projects in the future!<\/span><\/p>\n Are the workshops held in English or German?<\/b><\/p>\n The YEA Program is an international program, which wants to help students engage in international as well as national topics. This is why most of the workshops are held in English, however from time to time a partner prefers to hold a workshop in German.<\/span><\/p>\n Will the timings of the workshops interfere with my school schedule?<\/b><\/p>\n The workshops always take place on weekday evenings and we try to avoid busy periods such as exams and holidays, to make participation as easy as possible. During registration we request a schedule of each participant, so that we can plan the calendar to best accommodate everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n Can I take part if I won\u2019t be present for all the workshops?<\/b><\/p>\n Ideally you should attend all the workshops. However, we do understand that you may have other commitments, so it\u2019s not a problem if you miss one. We expect you to be present for at least 75% of the workshops. <\/span><\/p>\n How much does the YEA Program cost?<\/b><\/p>\n Participating in the YEA program requires a one off payment of 70 euros per person. This is required to cover the running costs of the program. However if this fee is an issue, please contact us so that we can find a solution together.<\/span><\/p>\n How do I graduate from the YEA Program?<\/b><\/p>\n As long as you\u2019ve fulfilled all of the requirements, you will be invited to take part in the graduation ceremony held each year at the end of the program. You will be awarded a certificate officiated by UNESCO recognizing your hard work! <\/span><\/p>\n What happens after the YEA Program?<\/b><\/p>\n You will have developed your abilities to turn your ideas into action, so as a Youth Education Ambassador we want you to put the knowledge you gained into practice and to share it with others.
