Stilled: The Story of Inklebrawt Winklehank

By

Loved it! 😍

Captivating, suspenseful and surprising; with eloquent prose that brings to life a fantastical world of human and machine.

A child is born in Huply with all hopes resting upon him and his siblings. Inklebrawt Winklehank and his siblings are born and trained to become saviours for their planet. Their very existence is threatened by a group called the Shepherds that want to restore humanity to its evolutionary roots.

Flashing forward to 2019, earth is once again threatened. Maggie, Inklebrawt, and the other sibling’s fates are intertwined as events force their lives together once again. They finally realize the full truth of who they are, and what they must do to prevent the Shepherds from achieving their destructive goal.

Well, the prologue had me hooked. The creative way words were used, and the amazing universe that was created left me with high hopes for this book.

We are cast into a world of hybrids and a biologically engineered race that populates planets in 13,333 BC in PUMA PUNKU, BOLIVIA.

The author does a great job of describing these unusual creatures that are part human, part Plythi’I – a race that is programmed to enable pathways within them to trigger human emotion, and memory.

The character’s traits and communications are consistent throughout the book.

There is a lot of information to glean in the beginning of the book. Yet, the author interweaves the facts seamlessly with the dialogue so the overall plot is not weighed down.

The past and present-day characters connect in a rather fascinating way, and the flashbacks throughout the story provide valuable information on the characters, and clues to the role they will play in the future.

The plot takes you through a bunch of twists and turns as the characters are brought to life through flashbacks, and their profound capabilities.

The entire story and ending did not disappoint! Every aspect coincided cleverly. An artistically designed conclusion that combines a tale of human evolution, advanced technology, and the repercussions of what happens when one decides to live for eternity…

A fantastic multi-dimensional story that utilizes science, technology, futuristic theories, and a powerful Sense to provide a riveting story with strong characters and plot.

For those that enjoy classics like Blade Runner, Avatar, and Stargate will certainly be captivated by this book.
